Brian Odgers:
At Arity, Brian manages a team creating a big data telematics platform. This combines fast paced customer focused agile methodologies with open sources cloud applications.

Previously Brian has worked for both start-ups and large corporations. During this time, he gained a number of patents, he is a Chartered Engineer and was part of team who won a British Computer Society’s Gold Medal.

Brian regularly takes part in charity activities including helping redecorate a local bereavement counselling office.

Michael Brines:
Michael is a senior architect within Arity. He works closely with the Arity Product and Platforms teams to ensure our systems are running securely and effectively. Michael has pioneered Arity’s monitoring and alerting solution integrating real time alerts with automated resolutions. Previously he has gained cloud experience both in large scale manufacturing and consultancy companies.

In his spare time Michael is a keen dinghy sailor and races as often as he can.

Graham Moucka:
Graham loves to automate things and actively works to promote best practice as a DevOps engineer for Arity. He has 8 years experience working as a Developer and now enjoys focusing fully on Arity’s Cloud infrastructure.

In his spare time he loves going off on his motorbike, getting out for a sail, helping out at church or, once in a while, doing some programming and cloud work at home.

Workshop Requirements:
If anyone wants to install their own monitoring stack, please bring a decent spec’d laptop running Mac, Linux or Windows 10.

We will be demonstrating this on Linux VMs based on Centos7, therefore feel free to follow along using docker CE 18 or Virtualbox 5 or straight on your mac or linux laptop.

Food & drink will be provided after the talks to help with the most important part of the night, the sharing of experiences & thoughts!
